New Delhi, June 6, 2026: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), led by founder Abhijeet Dipke, organized its first major on-ground protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Saturday. Thousands of students, job aspirants, and young supporters gathered peacefully to demand accountability over alleged irregularities in examinations and recruitment processes.
The protest primarily called for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and highlighted concerns regarding examination paper leaks and transparency in the education system. The movement, which gained popularity through social media, has rapidly emerged as a voice for India’s youth.
Delhi Police granted permission for the demonstration and deployed extensive security arrangements to ensure that the event remained peaceful. Although a few preventive detentions were made, authorities confirmed that no FIR was registered against the protesters.
Addressing supporters, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke described the protest as only the beginning of a larger campaign for reforms and accountability. Activists and public figures, including Sonam Wangchuk, expressed support for the movement and emphasized the importance of democratic participation.
The June 6 gathering marked the transition of the Cockroach Janta Party from an online movement to a nationwide youth-led campaign, drawing significant attention across the country.
